Bootstrapping an Online Tea Business edition by Tony Gebely Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks
Short. Not because it's concise, but because it's very surface-level. I got through the whole thing in about half an hour. None of the content is very specific to the tea industry. It's like a book where someone is talking about starting an e-commerce store with tea as an example. The only sourcing issues addressed are the benefits of buying wholesale vs direct sourcing, but no resources on how to do either. The content regarding e-commerce platforms, branding/differentiation, product photography, and social media marketing are brief and not specific to tea. Any one of those chapters could be substituted with some much better (free) content from blogs that specialize in any one of those categories. This book might be helpful if you are vaguely considering opening an online tea shop, but unsure what that means. This book will tell you what all the steps will be to get it up and running. If you've decided that you want to open an online tea shop and now you need help executing, this book won't be of much benefit to you.

Bootstrapping an Online Tea Business edition by Tony Gebely Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews
This is one of the most concise roadmaps to on-line tea selling I have seen. A small but mighty tool.
This is short and obvious. do not buy
Easy to read ( even for me as ESL student) ) very informative book. Would be helpful for those who new in tea industry and need step by step startup instructions for business.
Pretty good. Some good links to relevant information. Also some good insights into what to expect and gaining customer engagement via social media.
Really very basic. Not particularly useful on any of three points bootstrapping, online business, or tea business. Presumably, readers will be looking for information, strategies, and advice in at least one of these three areas. This book will only help you if you are absolutely clueless and need SOME starting point.
I have some business background, am experienced with e-commerce, and am what you might call an advanced tea enthusiast. There was nothing in this book that I did not already know. In fact, there was very little actual knowledge presented at all - mostly just general common sense advice.
I had hoped to learn some clever ways to source, package, and deliver product on a shoestring budget. Nothing of the sort in this book.
Mostly, it just lists several things you should think about. But, if you're looking at this book, you're probably already thinking about them and need some solutions. You won't find many in this book.
I'm starting a company that would be all about branding, and this book is small, but it did introduce me to ideas and resources I had no idea about. I'll be referring back to it quite a bit. Good for newbies such as myself!
Considering that there are not very many books written on the subject of starting a tea shop--let alone specifically an online one--Tony's book is the first you'll want to read if you're considering dipping your toe in these waters. He doesn't waste time with flowery language or getting deep into the details of how to do things that are covered by general purpose starting-a-business books (see the Dummies series for things for accounting, forming an LLC, etc.), but he does cover the topics specifically related to a tea business that you may not have considered.
Make sure this book is close at hand throughout your start-up process!
